Hey it's (The Girl Called) Mitch! I recently just moved to the area, originally from south of Detroit, and am loving it! I also LOVE what I do for a living...talk on the radio! I am so blessed to get to do this! I began this crazy career after attending EMU and Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts. I got my start in Flint-Town Baby, where I was doing overnights. From there, I moved onto Detroit radio. Bounced around from one station to another for years. And now I've bounced to The Moose! It is AMAZING being here!! Thank you for being so welcoming!!
My family though, is my first LOVE! They are all my heroes, and we stick together through anything. My identical twin sister is my best friend in the world! Well, along with my other siblings (two older brothers and an older sister...(yes, there is a slew of us) which are so fantastic too! My Christianity is also what I am completely passionate about as well!
Want to know a secret...Most nights consist of my bed, my dvd player, and ROCKY 4!! Yes, watch it about every night! They are my favorite movies in the world (it's the way he loves Adrian)! We will be cooking hotdogs and selling them for $1.50 each. In addition to hot dogs we will also have pop, a bake sale, and most likely popcorn. We have been selling can coozies and american bears in our office, so we will also be selling those in our tent as well.

I've been around a lot of women who aren't. They're brash and rude, if they want to be. And I love a woman to be confident, but some just go too far. Bret refuses to let anything keep him down. His autobiography, 'Roses and Thorns: The Reality of My Rock 'n Roll Fantasy,' will be published this fall. His new VH1 reality series, 'Life As I Know It,' debuts in October, and he's excited about his new solo CD, 'Custom Built,' releasing on his own Poor Boy Records.
Bret is juggling many roles -- father, philanthropist, reality TV star and rocker -- and he may soon be adding restaurateur to the list. "Toby Keith has a restaurant and the same gentleman that developed Toby's restaurant just offered me a very, very nice deal to start a Bret Michaels restaurant," he tells The Boot. "It looks like it's in the works for Vegas, Chicago and St. Louis. It's going to be great. Right now it's in the very infant stages, but the deal offer has already been made. We're looking at spring 2011 [to open the first one.]"
This week, Bret is busy promoting 'Custom Built.' "I [recorded] a lot of it while traveling, because we've got a studio on the bus. I did a bunch in Phoenix, some in Nashville, some in New York and some in L.A.," he says. "The title truly exemplifies what this music is about. I cover a large gamut of music that I love, from rock 'n roll to country music. I remade a Sublime song called 'What I Got,' which happens to be one of my favorite songs ever."
Bret recruited some friends to join him on 'Custom Built.' Miley Cyrus sings on 'Nothin' to Lose,' which was the first single released earlier this spring. Bret also put in a guest appearance on Miley's new album, playing guitar on her cover of the Poison classic, 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn.' "She did an amazing job on her new record," says Bret, who joined Miley to perform the song on 'Good Morning America' on June 18.
'Custom Built' also includes a new version of 'Every Rose' recorded in Nashville, which he plans to release to country radio stations. "I did it with Brad Arnold from 3 Doors Down, Jay DeMarcus from Rascal Flatts, Chris Cagle and Mark Wills," he says. "All of us sang through the song a whole bunch of times, and then I just pulled it together. It really has a unique sound."

Taylor Swift is sporting a new look in her Got Milk? ads for the Body by Milk campaign. This is not the first time she has touted the benefits of drinking milk. The 20-year-old appeared in her first milk mustache ad back in 2008, and this time, she states, "Drinking three glasses a day gives you protein that encourages lean muscles and calcium which gives you strong bones. So, milk is definitely a priority for me."
The new look is actually from her original photo shoot a couple of years ago, just in a different outfit. In the first one, she wore a short beige dress, and in this one she's wearing a silver, scoop-neck top and jeans. The then 18-year-old shot a video of her dressing room and the clothes she had to choose from for the milk ad, including what looks like 20 pairs of the "craziest cowboy boots ever made in the history of boots," numerous belts, sundresses and more.
Taylor recently finished up her Fearless tour, but you can still find the singer-songwriter in the pages of your favorite magazines sporting the famous milk mustache. This week, the young superstar has been busy in the recording studio working on her third studio album, the follow-up to the multi-platinum selling, record-breaking 'Fearless' album.

CHARLIE DANIELS CALLS REPORTER "LITTLE PUNK!" WHY?
One question from a country radio deejay in Tulsa, Okla., was all it took to get Charlie Daniels hot under the collar about the recent ouster of Gen. Stanley McChrystal. The former commander of the US forces in Afghanistan resigned last month when President Obama accused him of demonstrating "poor judgment" after McChrystal and his aides made disparaging comments about Obama administration officials in a Rolling Stone story titled 'The Runaway General.'
Charlie puts the blame squarely at the feet of the magazine.
"We got cost a great warrior ... just because of some little punk that works for Rolling Stone trying to make a name for himself," the country legend told KVOO Tulsa morning air personalities Skip Mahaffey and Sunny Leigh during a recent telephone interview. "I want to see this punk go over there and take Gen. McChrystal's place in the line. I want to see if he's got guts. Put him with a bunch of Humvees driving around the IEDs [improvised explosive devices] and see what he thinks of it. We don't have many people like Gen. McChrystal, and it's just a shame that because of a few careless words of some of his staff that somebody like Rolling Stone magazine can get him booted out."

But if I did have a good story to tell about staying healthy, I'd enter it in this Cheerios contest. You just write a 150-250 word essay on how you take care of yourself, and you could win a weekend in Nashville. Kellie may have had an adult beverage or two as well: She posted a pic of a can of Coors Light with the caption, “I’m 24.”

BRAD PAISLEY CONCERT LEADS TO 46 ARRESTS!!
I don't know if there's anything more humiliating than being drunk and disorderly in public -- except maybe being in the local paper for being drunk and disorderly in public. After Brad Paisley's show in Darien Lake, N.Y. on Friday night (June 18), the local police made 46 arrests. Two guys for fighting with security, one guy for third-degree assault, one for trespassing (he went back into the venue after being kicked out) and then a whole bunch for disorderly conduct. But the biggest group was the 38 people charged with under-age drinking. Now, I know Paisley sings a lot about how alcohol "has influenced kings and world leaders" and how you're gonna "catch all the fish and drink all the beer," but c'mon. The irony here is that Paisley himself doesn't even drink. I can't help wondering about those 38 kids who had the intent to consume alcohol. How did they get their hands on it? And if you are drinking that much, will you even remember the concert?

Vanessa Carlton announces “I am a proud bisexual woman
Singer-songwriter Vanessa Carlton has pulled an Anna Paquin. The 29-year-old singer came out at the Nashville Pride Festival this weekend before a crowd of 18,000 fans.
“I’ve never said this before, but I am a proud bisexual woman,” she told the audience as she hit the stage Saturday.
The musician who scored hits with singles “A Thousand Miles” and “Ordinary Day” has been tied to John Mayer and Third Eye Blind front man Stephan Jenkins. The singer is reportedly single at the moment.
Carlton is following in the footsteps of “True Blood” star Anna Paquin, who announced she was bisexual in April during a PSA for True Colors Fund.
A series of musicians have also recently come out of the closet. Ricky Martin announced he was gay in March, while Chely Wright became one of the first country music stars to come out when she announced she was a lesbian in May.

CARRIE SAYS 'BEING MEAN CAN PAY OFF' (Hint...she's referring to her new single!)
Given her public demeanor and the way fellow artists talk about her, it’s appropriate to think of Carrie Underwood as a friendly, classy lady.
But she does have a mean streak. She put it to work in writing “Undo It,” her latest single.
“It’s kind of mean in the fact that you’re telling this person that you wish you’d never met them,” she says. “Like, that’s mean: ‘I wish I had never met you. My life was so much better before you, and I wish that I could take all of that back.’ And ‘Undo It’… we’ve all had stupid relationships, and you’re like, ‘I wasted my time, they wasted their time. This was not worth it, and I’d give anything to just go back and have that back, and my life would have been easier if you hadn’t been in it.’ That’s horrible. It’s so mean.”
Carrie will likely bring that harshness to the stage — for one song, anyway — when she performs during the final half-hour Tuesday of a historic edition of the Grand Ole Opry. The Opry is being presented at Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium for only the second time in its history as the radio show continues to occupy various locations as the Grand Ole Opry House is renovated after last month’s floods. The Opry House is expected to reopen Oct. 1.

Just in time for Mother's Day, thanks to Wednesday night's (April 28) American Idol, the world gets to celebrate a band that has given their mother the greatest gift of all time. They put her name in their band name. How great is that? Sons of Sylvia is made up of brothers Ashley, Austin and Adam Clark -- the sons of Sylvia Clark, a woman who gave birth not only to those three boys but eight other kids, as well. Two sets of twins, even. (I am sitting here trying to imagine a day when Ryan Seacrest introduces Kids of Alison, and it's very weird. But Sons of Sylvia has a much nicer ring to it.) Anyway, they all sing, plus Adam plays mandolin and guitar, Ashley plays guitar and fiddle, and Austin plays Dobro and lap steel. The Sons were raised in a family that did a lot of revival crusades and played all kinds of bluegrass and country gospel music. And Carrie Underwood was there Wednesday night to introduce them as "three guys who mean a lot to me," adding, "I'm such a fan." They are one of her opening acts on tour this summer. Are they country enough? How would you define their sound?

Joe Nichols Says Role in Broadway Musical, Pure Country, Now Unlikely
Joe Nichols says he no longer thinks he will be a part of the Broadway musical, Pure Country, he tells CMT.com. He had been cast in the lead role as Rusty in the Broadway version of the 1992 George Strait film. Rehearsals were scheduled to begin earlier this year for the production that also starred Lorrie Morgan in the role of Lula. "The status is, I don't think it's gonna happen for me," he said Wednesday (April 28). Because of the economic crunch in New York City, many theaters have been forced to shut down, Nichols said. As a result, several productions were delayed, including Pure Country. "When they backed up the show, it put us in a difficult situation because we had blocked off about six to eight months of time just for that show," he said. "That's without touring, no media, no nothing. So now I just don't see that we could probably take another six-month gap in our schedule, especially with how hot 'Gimmie That Girl' is and the album." Nichols did say, however, that he believes the show will go, adding, "But if we're in it, it might be a long shot." His current single, "Gimmie That Girl," is No.1 on Billboard's country chart this week.

Stoney Creek Records artist Ash Bowers has been tapped as support for Jason Aldean's upcoming Wide Open tour, set to kick off on January 22. Bowers will join the tour, which also features Luke Bryan, for 22 dates starting January 28.
Bowers debut single, "Stuck," was released in September. It entered the U.S. Billboard country singles chart at number 60. His second single, "Ain't No Stopping Her Now," was shipped to radio over the weekend. It was penned by Bowers and Kyle Jacobs.
