The Bay County Health Department issued a public health advisory for the Saginaw and Kawkawlin Rivers Wednesday. That’s because water samples show bacteria levels above state water quality
standards. The public is advised not to make full body contact with water from the Saginaw
and Kawkawlin Rivers in Bay County.  The advisory comes after a beach closure notice issued Tuesday for Linwood Beach, for the same reason.

The Bay County Health Department will lift the advisories once testing shows the water is back in compliance with state standards.
