The Auburn Cornfest is returning this year after it was cancelled last year over a property dispute. There’s just one small catch: it won’t be held in Auburn, or even in Bay County.

Organizers of the festival, Auburn Improvement and Management, have worked out an arrangement with the Midland County Fairgrounds to hold the annual event there instead. Last summer, a controversial land transaction shifted ownership of the festival property from the Auburn Chamber of Commerce to the Jaycees, which blocked attempts to stage the event, resulting in its cancellation.

Cornfest will take place this year from July 11-14.
