Bay City’s Liberty Bridge Closed Again

A mechanical issue has forced the temporary closure of Bay City’s  Liberty Bridge.

City officials announced the closure Friday afternoon due to what was described as an issue with the gears that open and close the span. No reopening time or date has been provided.

The Liberty Bridge had to be closed for emergency repairs earlier this spring after a large pothole appeared in one of the traffic lanes.
