Bay City’s “Miss Michigan” Honored With A Proclamation

Bay City’s own “Miss Michigan” received a proclamation from Mayor Kathleen Newsham during the City Commission meeting Monday  declaring July 15th as Mallory Rivard Day.

Rivard called the experience a whirlwind, adding that to represent her hometown is truly amazing. Rivard who works at Bay City’s Macgregor Elementary School will be starting her third year teaching first graders this fall as she prepares for the pageant which will be televised nationwide on NBC.

She says  a date and location are still being worked out.
