Approximately 600 people came to Midland’s Great Hall at  Valley Plaza Thursday for the Delta College Foundation’s annual “Chocolate
Affair” fundraiser. Attendees sampled food including delicious cakes and tortes sponsored by local businesses.

All proceeds go toward the Possible Dream Program. Since 1992 it’s helped some 2,800 at-risk area students stay on track to finish high school,  prepare for college and set a career foundation. Students as young  as 6th grade are referred by a school teacher or counselor.

Once in Possible Dream, they engage in team building activities,  explore career options like STEM and check out theatrical and
cultural events with Delta paying the costs.
