Dog Mauling Kills Bay City Woman

An autopsy performed over the weekend on the body of a woman found dead in her home in Bay City on Friday has determined that she died from being mauled by one or more of her dogs. The Bay City Department of Public Safety said the victim, identified as 41-year-old Brandy Joy O’Dell, was found at her home in the 3200 block of Westshore Dr. just before 3:00 Friday afternoon.

The autopsy report said O’Dell died from several dog bites. Officers removed two Pit Bull-type dogs from the home, and took them to Bay County Animal Control.
