Flint City Council Member Dies

The Third Ward Councilman for the Flint City Council has passed away.

The city made the announcement Sunday that Councilman Quincy Murphy died. A cause of death has not been made available. Murphy was elected to the Council in November 2022. Considered an activist, the city called Murphy a tireless advocate for residents of the Third Ward. Flags will be flown at half staff in the city of Flint Monday in his honor and memory.

Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced.
