Flint’s Bishop International Airport Expands Options
Bishop International Airport will be expanding it’s available travel options.
After adding services this September, the airport will be adding flights to Sarasota and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in November and December.
In addition to the travel options, the airport will be increasing seating capacity and flight frequency with American, Delta, Allegiant, and United Airlines.
Interim Airport Director Nino Sapone said progress on the additions came quickly after the successful September launch of American Airlines nonstop service to Charlotte, North Carolina.
Newest flight additions include:
American Airlines: New nonstop flights to Charlotte, NC already started on September 4th
Allegiant Airlines: New nonstop flights to Sarasota, FL Start November 24th
Allegiant Airlines: Return of seasonal flights Ft. Lauderdale, FL will be starting December 20th
Growth in seat and flight capacity include:
American Airlines: Increased frequency to Chicago-O’Hare
Delta AirLines: Increased seating capacity to Atlanta-Hartsfield
United Airlines will be Increasing flight frequencies to Chicago-O’Hare
The Airport projects an upward trend of travelers as the cold, winter months come along- with projected increases from January through March ranging from 11.2 to 43.3 percent per month.
