Genesee County Sheriff Robert Pickell announced the arrest of 11 people at a news conference Monday, October 14, suspected of child sexually abusive activity.

Members of the special Genesee Human Oppression Strike Team, or GHOST, will pose as underage children online and make an arrest when a suspect shows up at a meeting place thinking they will have sex with a child. Since the team’s founding four months ago, GHOST has arrested more than 40 people for sex trafficking.

The suspects are charged with various felonies related to child sexually abusive activity, accosting children for immoral purposes and using computers to commit crimes.
