Health Dept. Closes Two Bay County Beaches, Reopens One

South Linwood Beach and Brissette Beach in Bay County are temporarily closed due to high bacteria levels detected during water sampling Monday. The Bay County Health Department issued a closure notice after testing showed the levels were above state water quality standards for full body contact recreational activities like swimming. The health department will life the closure once the water is back in compliance with state regulations.

Meanwhile,  a closure notice issued last week for Wenona Beach has been lifted after testing Monday showed the water was back within state guidelines.
