A Caseville man was sentenced to prison on Monday for sexually assaulting a young girl for several years.

A jury in Huron County found 47-year-old Corey Kessler guilty in July of ten counts each of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a person under the age of 13 and second-degree criminal sexual conduct. According to prosecutors, Kessler assaulted the girl from the time she was four years old until she was ten. The victim went through a Child Advocacy Center interview in March 2023 and testified during the trial detailing the assaults, saying she was sexually assaulted or touched more than 50 times.

Prosecutors requested the judge sentence Kessler to consecutive instead of concurrent sentences. He was sentenced to 250 years in prison.
