Huron County Pair Arraigned on Robbery Charges
Huron County authorities say two people face charges in connection with the beating and robbery of a 64-year old Caseville man.
Sheriff deputies arrested a Caseville woman, 26-year old Melissa Venturino and a 26-year old Harbor Beach man, Damon Cash, June 15. They’re charged with felony robbery in the April 24 incident near Sand and Conkey roads in Lake Township. Venturino originally told deputies she was with the victim, Andres Camacho, smoking marijuana, when an unknown suspect attacked them. The suspect took personal items, $2 in cash and prescription pills. The personal property and other items were seized after a Harbor Beach house was searched April 25th.
Venturino was also charged with lying to police about the incident. Camacho was treated at Pigeon’s Scheurer Hospital and transferred to another facility for additional treatment.
Both suspects were arraigned in Tuscola County District Court. Venturino posted a $5,000 bond and Cash remains in jail on a $50,000 bond. No future court date has been set.
