Incoming Saginaw Catholic Diocese Bishop Robert Gruss spoke to parisioner’s during evening prayer Thursday in Saginaw’s Cathedral  of Mary of the Assumption.

Gruss knocked three times on the Cathedral’s front door to symbolically claim his home church.
Gruss says he learned a lot in eight years as Bishop in Rapid  City, South Dakota but is ready to move forward in his new job.

Gruss will be officially installed as Bishop during a Two PM ceremony Friday in Holy Spirit Church on North River Road in  Thomas Township.
