Man Arrested After Crashing Truck Into Marina

A Linwood man was arrested Thursday, August 1 after crashing a pickup truck into the Saginaw Bay.

Sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene around 1:00 a.m. to find the truck partially submerged in the water. Police say the 21-year-old driver blew a 0.10 into a breathalyzer after driving a 2008 Chevy Colorado into the Little Beach Marina in at 135 S. Linwood Road in Kawkawlin Township. The legal limit for blood alcohol content is 0.08.

The man and a 19-year-old female passenger from Saginaw were able to get out without injury.

Police say the woman had not been drinking and was given a ride home. The man is facing drunk driving charges.
