Midland City Employee Gets Recognition For Doing A Good Deed
Midland is recognizing a city employee who went above and beyond the call of duty while working on a water line repair job.
City Manager Brad Kaye says Matt Knopp found an envelope with $1,200 in cash last Friday. With help from a debit card found in the envelope, Knopp attempted to return the money to the owner at his house.
When the man was not home, he turned to the Midland Police Department for assistance. Officers said the man was very happy and relieved to be reunited with the lost money.
