Minor Injuries in Early Morning Saginaw House Fire

A firefighter was injured the morning of Thursday, August 15 battling a house fire in Saginaw.

Officials say the woman received minor burns on her leg and is expected to be okay. The fire began in the basement of a home in the 1000 block of E. Holland near Sheridan around 2:20. It also damaged the first floor of the house. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

Fire departments from Carrollton and Buena Vista townships assisted at the scene.
