Mount Pleasant State Police Search For Missing Autistic Teen

Mount Pleasant State Police are searching for a missing 16 year old Hersey area autistic teen.

Relatives of Nick Kirk say he may possibly be headed to Muskegon County. Authorities say
Kirk was observed near Big Rapids around 12:30 PM Wednesday after being reported missing about Nine AM, but his direction of travel was unknown.

Kirk is described as 5′ 8″ and 140 pounds with brown hair and glasses. He was last seen wearing
black shoes, black pants and a black long sleeved shirt. Kirk was carrying a tan colored backpack.

He goes by the name “Nick”,  but officials add he is unable to speak. Troopers say he’s aware
family and law enforcement are searching for him and has made efforts NOT to disclose his location.

Anyone with knowledge of Kirk’s whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 or the Mount Pleasant  Post at (989) 773-5951.
