Pedestrian Killed At Good Samaritan Rescue Ministries in Bay City

Police in Bay City have identified a woman killed by a vehicle last Thursday.

31-year-old Jessica Yax was staying at the Good Samaritan rescue Mission at 713 Ninth Street and was walking through its parking lot around 4:40 P.M. when police say she slipped and fell. She was then struck by a vehicle driven by a 58-year-old Saginaw resident. Yax was pronounced dead at the scene. The Saginaw resident is cooperating in the investigation, according to police, who say alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash.

Police are asking anyone with additional information to contact the Bay City Department of Public Safety.
