Police Identify Man Killed While Changing Tire on I-75

A 22-year-old Saginaw man killed in a crash on I-75 was a member of a local band.

Police say Charles Haller was helping one of his band mates fix a flat tire on the side of I-75 near Baker Road around 7:10 P.M. on Tuesday. The band is called Stars You Can’t See. While fixing the tire, police say an 80-year-old Bay City man in a 2015 Chevy pickup drove into the back of Haller’s vehicle, which crashed into the friend’s vehicle. Haller was between the two and suffered critical injuries. He was taken to a local hospital where he died.

The crash remains under investigation.
