Saginaw County Closer To Approving New Budget

Approval of a proposed 2019-2020 budget by the Saginaw County Board of Commissioners is getting closer.

County Controller Robert Belleman says changes to the estimated $50,000,000 general fund would utilize about $1,400,000 in fund balance reserves. He added that would cover several major projects including construction of a new Animal Control shelter.

Belleman says a final vote on the overall budget of about $175,000,000  is planned for September in time for the start of the new County fiscal year October First.
