State Police are investigating a pedestrian crash that claimed the life of a 22-year-old man.

The crash occurred around 7:10 P.M. on Tuesday in the south bound lanes of I-75 near Baker Road. The Saginaw man was pulled over on the side of the expressway and was helping a friend change a flat tire. He was positioned between two vehicles. Police say an 80-year-old Bay City man driving a 2015 Chevy pickup truck struck the vehicles, with the Saginaw man caught in between them. He was rushed to a local hospital with critical injuries, where later died.

The Bay City man was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to police.
