Saginaw school board trustees unanimously adopted a new budget Wednesday for the 2019-2020 school year, worth roughly $72,000,000 overall, including a general fund of about $53,000,000.

Superintendent Ramont Roberts says officials project a loss of 300 students which they hope to offset in part through a summer
time publicity campaign. Roberts added the budget fully restores past wage concessions to employees while establishing  a new and more challenging curriculum for students to hopefully improve classroom performance.
