Sandbags To Be Made Available To Combat Bay County Flood Threat

The U-S Army Corps of Engineers is making available some 40,000 sandbags to Bay County for distribution to cities and townships with waterfront properties endangered by potential flooding.
County Executive Jim Barcia says the Road Commission would make available virtually unlimited amounts of sand to fill those bags. Barcia added the County wants to be pro-active to head off potential damage.
He added Bangor Township will host a Town Hall at a date and time to be determined to further explain the initiative.
