No school for Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy students for the next couple days after a fire broke out in the building Sunday.

Fire crews responded to the site with the fire burning the northwest exterior entrance of the building. Damage was contained to that area and did not spread to the interior of the building, accoridng to officials. The district will conduct full scale cleaning and restpration of the damaged area this week. SASA students will resume classes online on Wednesday through Friday and return to in-person learning next week.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
