A 29-year-old man is in critical condition following a shooting on I-75 Wednesday, August 7.

Police say the shooting occurred near the 152 mile marker in the south bound lanes around 1:30 a.m., which closed the express way for about three hours. The man was in the Saginaw area for a funeral, though it’s unclear why he was targeted. However, police say it isn’t a random act of violence. The victim is being treated at a local hospital.

A 32-year-old Saginaw man suffered non-life threatening injuries after being shot the same morning. Police say multiple suspects approached the man while he was sitting on his porch around 2:00 a.m. in the 600 block of S. 23rd St. and opened fire. He was taken to a local hospital.

Police are currently looking for the suspects in both incidents.
