A trial date has been set for two teens accused of a shootout in Mount Morris Township on June 25 that resulted in the death of another teen.

U.S. Marshals arrested 18-year-old Amarion Cain for his alleged role in the shootout in Beecher that claimed the life of 17-year-old Kamari Lindsey and critically injured another 17-year-old boy. Police say an SUV arrived at a home on Hilton Lane around 3:00 P.M. with three teens getting out of the vehicle to assault a male in the front yard, when a shootout began with someone in the driveway and inside the SUV. The SUV fled the scene, while another person inside the house began shooting at the vehicle as it sped away.

Cain is charged with open murder, assault with intent to murder and a number of weapons violations. 18-year-old Cordell Allen is also charged with attempted murder and felony weapons offenses. Their trial will be held February 4.
