Country Stars Celebrate Tennessee Upsetting Alabama
There was a seismic shift in the college football landscape this weekend as the then-10th ranked Tennessee Volunteers upset Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide in Knoxville’s Neyland Stadium. The game came down to a last second field goal and fans stormed the field and took down the goal posts in celebration.
In town that day in anticipation of the big top-10 match-up were several country stars who hail from East Tennessee: Morgan Wallen, Kenny Chesney & Kelsea Ballerini. They were seen before the game celebrating at a nearby Knoxville establishment, Saloon 16, with UT legendary QB Peyton Manning.

After this weekend’s upset, the Tennessee Volunteers jumped up into the top-4 rankings in both the AP & Coaches polls while the Crimson Tide fell to number six in both.
